So many of us (Baby Boomers) grew up when the muscle car craze was in full swing. Starting with the GTO in 1964, and continuing into the early seventies, the big three auto makers (and let us not forget AMC) were all trying to one-up each other. Yes, horsepower and the need for more, was the name of the game. But that wasn’t the only thing that made this era so fascinating. Each year new options and gimmicks were added to the platform. Scoops, stripes, wings, wheels, and yes even a Roadrunner horn just to name a few. This blog will focus on muscle cars produced by General Motors. My intent is to present technical information, pictures, and yes my own memories of an era gone by. You see, it’s not just the cars that made this time so special, it’s also the people and the memories that go with them.
